2nd Grade Homeroom Teacher
Originally from Minnesota, Ann has lived in Montana off and on for the past 16 years. After receiving her teaching credential from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 1995, she went on to teach 5th grade in Superior, Wisconsin. When a road trip led her to the mountains of Montana, she began subbing in a wide variety of schools in Missoula County and eventually helped found the Missoula Community School. In 2004, she taught K/1 at Sussex, where she solidified her belief that progressive education is a successful and meaningful way to approach education. In 2006, she moved to Southern California where she continued to teach at the primary level. In her fourteenth year of teaching, Ann has returned to Sussex.
What do you like to do when you are not teaching? I can be found on the trails with my sweet dog, experimenting with vegetarian recipes, doing yoga, painting and planning my next road trip.
