Director Position: 

Job Summary 

Sussex School, an independent K-8 progressive school in Missoula,
Montana seeks a director starting in July 2008. The director provides
educational leadership through curriculum assessment and development,
serves as communicator of the school's mission, its present needs and
promise for the future. The director supervises and works
collaboratively with teachers, staff, parents, and students, oversees
the school's budget, and reports to the Board of Directors. 

Qualifications: 

Master's degree preferred. Experience working within program administration
in progressive education preferred. A strong understanding of progressive K-8
curriculum and assessment required. Experience in working in a community or parent
cooperative preferred. Marketing, teaching and fundraising experience preferred.
