For students who are in quarantine, isolation, or “laying low,” have immunocompromised households, and/or otherwise must learn at home due to Covid-19 considerations or other illnesses, Sussex School offers a remote-learning option.
Watch the video below to see some examples of remote learning
from our fully remote experience this past spring.
Goals of Remote Learning
Connect with students establishing a routine around learning
Provide time to meet with teachers and other students.
Show flexibility in student and family needs during this time.
Continue to strengthen our core values of critical thinking, courage, creativity, and citizenship.
I'm really impressed with the school's set up. Most of the day my son is connecting with his teachers online. He seems to be engaged in the community and has a lot to say about what they are doing in class. We appreciate the variety and opportunities for kids to get familiar with online programs and software. I love that the day has a clear structure and room for flexibility. The teachers are really rising up. Thank you so much for your efforts. We are grateful for Sussex.
