Parent Cooperative

Sussex School faculty and staff depend on a parent cooperative to give time, ideas, and energy to the school community. These contributions make an incredible impact on the students' education in Missoula.

As a parent cooperative, parents or family members of enrolled students contribute at least 60 volunteer hours per year. Families provide crucial assistance in the classroom, on field trips, on campus, and in school operations.

Our Community Handbook

Our community handbook provides basic guidelines for our current families and students. From our history to volunteer requirements, old traditions to After-care rules, please view our handbook to learn more about the Sussex Community.

Sussex Parent Association

The Sussex Parent Association (SPA) is an inclusive group focused on supporting the mission and values of Sussex School. Our mission is to enrich, engage, advocate for and encourage our connection with Sussex School.

"I’m so thankful we found Sussex! Everyday, my kids are growing up in an environment where teachers care about their social and emotional well-being, as well as their learning.  At Sussex, they are encouraged to be themselves and are provided with so many opportunities for hands-on learning that nurtures individual imagination and creativity.

It’s such a special place!"

-Katie James, current parent

"As a parent, the most striking thing about Sussex School is how much my kids enjoy going to school. This was a foreign concept at prior places. The engaged faculty, creative opportunities, and an emphasis on learning, rather than busy work, make Sussex a place where my children thrive."

-Andy Tegeder, alumni parent
