Discover Summer Camps at Sussex!
Experience the perfect blend of adventure, creativity, and learning during summer camps at Sussex School, where curious minds and active bodies come together for unforgettable experiences. Open to all youth in grades K–8 throughout Missoula (and beyond), you don't have to be enrolled at Sussex to join us for the summer! Most camps welcome children ages 5+ (grades K–8), while our advanced outdoor adventure camps are designed for ages 12+ with prior experience recommended. Our camps inspire critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration in a supportive, inclusive environment. With a variety of full- and half-day options, children can explore their passions in art, music, outdoor adventures, and more—all while building lasting friendships and creating cherished memories.
All of our full-day camps now include an overnight component, giving campers the chance to practice outdoor living skills, build confidence, and experience Montana’s landscapes in a deeper, more meaningful way. One of our signature offerings is a 4-day/3-night backpacking expedition in the Anaconda-Pintler Wilderness, an immersive adventure through rugged peaks, alpine lakes, and wildflower-filled meadows.

Families registered for any overnight camp will receive a comprehensive packing list well in advance of the first day, ensuring every camper arrives prepared and excited for the journey ahead. Students enrolled in a full-day camp—or two half-day camps—should bring a lunch and plenty of snacks to fuel their day. Many camps take place outdoors, so please pack a water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing, and sunscreen to keep your camper ready for every adventure.
