Camp Paxson 2023

Sussex School has been going to camp as an entire community for over 42 years. This annual Sussex excursion is a great opportunity to welcome new families, visit with returning families, and build community. In the process, we all learn a little something about the outdoors, our friends, and ourselves. 

Sussex is returning to Camp Paxson on Seeley Lake again this year. All costs to attend Camp are covered by the school. Parents of Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd-grade students are strongly encouraged to attend with their children. Parents in all grades are needed to drive to and from and to volunteer at camp; there are no costs to parents to attend camp. The sign-up sheet is here and is due August 21. Let us know on the sheet if you can volunteer; teachers will assign you tasks at Camp as needed.

Scheduled activities will be arranged by teachers.  Activities include hiking, swimming, kayaking, art, group challenges, and outdoor group games. Some activities may include parents, and some are designed to foster a sense of classroom community and bonding between the teachers and their students.
