This ensemble runs in two sessions throughout the school year and provides students the opportunity to play more challenging pieces with other student musicians. Students are expected to have participated in two intro ensemble sessions or have had private lessons for at least one year. This ensemble is a great fit for those who are interested in auditioning for the full-year pop-rock ensemble. Students are expected to be very familiar with their instruments, practice outside of rehearsal time, and understand the foundations of music-reading on their instrument. This group explores different genres of music, including but not limited to rock, pop, blues, jazz, country, and bluegrass.
 
Half Year: Tuesdays 3:00–3:50
Session 1 & 2: September 5th - December 19th
Session 3 & 4: January 3rd - May 16th
Grades 3–8; limit 10
Pre-requisite: two sessions of intro ensemble, or one year of instrument study, or instructor permission
